Needle Felt Landscape Workshop
Saturday 23rd March 2019, 10.00am - 1.00pm
You will spend a lovely morning creating and embellishing a landscape picture with a range of fibres both hand dyed and commercially sourced. Learn about how to work with fibre – handling, blending colours and using the felting needle. All materials will be provided but if you have any beautiful beads etc that you might particularly like to include in your work, or basic hand sewing equipment, feel free to bring them along.
Please bring any pictures that you might like to work from and your tutor, Araminta Greaves, will bring a few too.
Araminta works out of her Spinney in the garden of Misty Cottage at the foot of Roughtor on the edge of Bodmin Moor in North Cornwall. She loves working with natural fibres through dyeing, spinning and felting, drawing inspiration from the beautiful moorland and coast of Cornwall. Much of the fibre Araminta uses is sourced locally, some from the field opposite the Spinnery.
Araminta aims to bring a funky, modern feel to traditional fibre arts and crafts, not only through her own creations, but also by producing hand dyed fibres and unique handspun yarns for other spinners, felters and knitters.
£25 per person (includes tea/coffee) Suitable for adults to 12 yrs old
Spaces are limited and you are required to pay upon booking in order to reserve your place.
